“Our universe contains one septillion stars (a one followed by 24 zeroes) and a lot of these stars contain many, many more modes of dust that we call planets. If any of us ceased to exist tomorrow, little would change beyond the subjective emotional states of the people in our immediate circles.” ~ Zat Rana
If you were ever in awe of yourself or your position in life, this should humble one immensely. Think about it - we walk around carrying the weight of what others will think about out choices, decisions and actions and some of us spend our entire lives like that when infact, we are not that important.
The freedom this affords us is that you can then go and try. Knowing that win or fail, the one septillion stars remain pretty much unchanged allows you to see life a lot more differently. If you want.
And that is the gift.
If the universe won’t blink at my failure, then why am I so afraid to try?
If stars won’t shift because I posted a video and no one watched, or because my launch flopped, or because my big dream didn’t work out the first time - then really, what do I have to lose?
We only get this one life.
And most of the things that keep us paralyzed - the opinions, the judgment, the fear of looking silly - exist only in our heads.
The reality is that nobody is thinking about you as much as you think they are.
People are busy. They’re carrying their own fears, their own worries, their own dreams.
So instead of carrying the weight of imagined judgment, carry the weight of possibility.
Instead of asking, “What will they think?” ask, “What if it works?”
Here’s the paradox: realizing you’re not that important makes your life infinitely more important.
Because you finally free yourself to live it.
Start the thing.
Launch the brand.
Write the book.
Move to the city.
Say yes to the dream.
The stars won’t notice - but the people in your immediate circle might be changed forever by your courage. And you? You’ll get to live wide awake, unshackled by the false idea that the world is scrutinizing your every move.
You are free.
Act like it.
And if you’re saying a fierce YES right now as you read this, this is a perfect place to begin.
